Whether cutting, drilling or demolishing concrete.
We understand what it takes to get the job right, the first time.

If you have a horizontal slab of concrete, we can cut it. Slabs of concrete may include reinforced concrete, precast concrete, and even other structural materials. Concrete slab cutting is usually done to provide expansion joints, make openings for ducts and/or conduits, elevators, stairwells, machine pads, and demolition purposes. We can cut to any depth on floors or suspended slabs. If you are not sure what kind of material your concrete slab is made of, we recommend you start with some core samples

When your concrete surface is vertical or on an angle, we use a wall saw to make an opening. Wall cutting is appropriate for: doors, windows, vaults, silos, chests, foundations, ducts and large diameter pipes, or to remove part or all of an existing wall. Whether you have newly poured concrete or want to bring some new life into an existing structure, we can cut into any depth of wall.

We cut through old or new asphalt, up to a 21” depth. We can use propane or gas powered saws depending on the need. We typically do this kind of cutting for trenching, making expansion joints, and removing damaged pavement sections for paving or in preparation for random crack repair. If your needs require us to obstruct traffic, we supply the flag-men.

If a job required deeper cutting or specialty cutting, we use a wire saw. The wire saw allows for greater flexibility in cutting. If you have cutting needs deeper than 21”, or if you require the cutting of awkward pieces of concrete, the wire saw is the way to go.

Concrete coring and drilling is most often used when you need to make access for electrical, plumbing, heating, sewer and sprinkler installations. We can drill holes at any angle in dimensions of ¼” to 24” in diameter, and at depths to your specifications. The types of material we can drill and core through are:

  • Reinforced concrete
  • Precast concrete
  • Asphalt
  • Brick
  • Cinderblock
  • Other structural materials

Other projects where concrete drilling and coring services are used include:

  • Creating holes to anchor bolts or lifting rods
  • Creating holes to place explosive charges in preparation for demolition
  • Drilling cores for analysis of a rock structure

It is always impressive to see a large piece of concrete come down, but that does not happen without some careful planning and skilled work. The diamond cutting and drilling technology that we use provides us with greater speed, versatility, and precision when preparing a site for demolition. This technology has many advantages over traditional impact methods, by reducing (or eliminating) traffic obstruction, and allow us to work in more difficult and restricted areas. If you have requirements for ‘low vibration’ or ‘no vibration’ in demolition, we can do that too! After the demolition is done, we can clean up as well by removing debris. The removal is, after all, as much a part of the job as the demolition itself. Capital Cutting and Coring has over 20 years of experience in demolition and removal when it comes to concrete. Let us put our experience to work for you on your next project.

  • Concrete demolition
  • Rock breaking and bursting
  • Rock Anchor Installation
  • Control Joints
  • Window and door openings
  • Plumbing, trenching and removals
  • Bin rentals
